Description

The Wayne County Public Defender is a mid-sized office practicing high quality, client-centered, holistic and innovative criminal defense in a rural setting. We currently have an opening for our 2nd Assistant Public Defender. This supervisory attorney will carry a reasonable mixed caseload of clients facing misdemeanor and various felony charges. They will work with the Public Defender and 1st Assistant to shape office policy and quality of practice. Felony trial experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated dedication to practicing indigent defense in a team setting required.  

Requirements

Residency in Wayne County NOT REQUIRED, but welcomed for this position. However, applicants must reside in a surrounding County and must be currently admitted to practice in NYS.
