Columbia County is seeking a candidate to fill a part-time Program Administrator responsible for the coordination of Indigent Legal Services.
The incumbent oversees management and operations of the Office of Assigned Counsel. The position is also responsible for maintaining required legal and administrative records and ensuring uniform and proper billing practices including the processing of vouchers and invoices. The work is performed in accordance with guidelines provided by Article 18B of the County Law and performs related work as required. Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Administrator shall be an attorney licensed in the State of New York who possesses administrative experience
and skill in the representation of criminal defendants and/or adults in family law matters and who demonstrates
integrity and a commitment to quality representation of public defense clients. A minimum of five (5) years of
experience in the practice of law involving criminal and/or family matters, of which two (2) years must include
administrative experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Admission to the New York State Bar.
