Description

The Steuben County Public Defender serves our community with high quality, client-centered, holistic criminal defense in the beautiful Southern Tier Region of Upstate New York.  This part-time attorney will cover assigned misdemeanor courts and be requested to participate in our Centralized Arraignment Part. 

Salary ranges from $37,970 to $59,385 DOE.

Requirements

Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State certified Law School;
Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and be in “good standing”
Satisfactory experience in the practice of Criminal Law in New York;

Travel is required to the assigned misdemeanor courts.
